I am happy woman because I have my dream job. I am a practicioner of Chinesse medicine and I still help people with their pains and others problems. But it was a long jurney. I started like an administration officer after school. Then my husband and I owned the building company. I was an accountant there. But this job really wasn´t the job of my dream and one day I decided to finish with an accountancy. I wanted to do something more interesting and meaningful. I started to study an acupunkture and I have been learning ever since. It was 25 years ago. It was a brave decision in that time but I have never regretted it. I love my job.
That’s amazing, Michaela! What is your favourite thing about your job?
:)), the most interesting is finding the root of the problems that ppeople come with. It is very exciting sometimes.
Currently I am on maternity leave. I’ve studied for a degree in Pedagogy, but i’ve never done it. It’s quite sad because I actually wanted to be a teacher for all my life. Before I had my children, I worked at business department in a big company that produces a mayonnaise and other kinds of sauces. And i must admit – that’s wasn’t my dream job at all. My dream job would be working at State Regional Archive in Třeboň or at State District Archive in Český Krumlov. I can imagine to work with children too.
If you had something else to do for a living…
made a difference
registred nurse
dream of
run projects
What do you do down here?
There you go!
I worked as metrologi. Now I am on matternity leave with my children. When I was at university I do not know what it Is metrologi. IT was my first jobs. IT was very good job, Dream job.
Now I am on matternity leave with my small daughter. Before I worked as an accountant. It is not very funny job full of new changes, terms and so on.I had the temporary job and now I am thinking, that I don’t want to be an accountant again. I am going to study pedagogy minimum from this September and than I will see, what I will be doing for a living. And my dream job? Actually I don’t know. I like the work of physioterapeutic. You help people with problems of their bodies, but it is very hard work, where you need to have a lot of energy.
What is my dream job? I really don’t know. I don’t think I ever thought about it. Of course, I wanted to be a teacher as a child, like many little girls in the first grade of elementary school. Then I decided to be an economist, but I have never worked like that. Now I work as a customer care manager in a company that implements the Microsoft Dynamics information system. When I think about it, the only thing that connects my previous jobs and my current job is working with people and taking care of customers and their requirements. I’m good at it and I really enjoy it. What more can I wish.
I am a child so I do not have a job, but I would like to become an english teacher. I found my passion in learning english since I was something about nine or ten years old, but the school system was diffrent they did not give the space to grow and improve my english becouse I was scared to make a mistake. Thats what I would like to change one day and I hope that the futurne kids will be rased that making mistakes is the only way how you can learn something and it is kinda sad that the school is opposite of it. And thats what I actually like about jazyko and my lesson with Romandi, I am not scared to make mistake, I’m not ashamed to ask about something that I do not know. So long story short story, I want to teach english in difrent way then teachers at school do one day :D.
That’s amazing Johi! Your passion for learning English is inspirational and it’s so great to teach you.
Just take a look at the spelling of some of the words: different, because, in the future, kids will be raised to know that…
🙂
Thank you. Oh I see that, next time I need to take a bit more time to correct my spelling😉😆.
Also,… again a writing, ok, …so, I am drinking wine and I am writing today´s homework:
The video is very interesting for me. It is not only interesting, but even more surprising. How too few people don´t do their dream jobs. Is it so really? I am retired now and it is my dream job :-)))))) My dream was beeing – to be a math teacher. But I studied the chemistry finally. I had a lot of works and I enjoyed all this works.
Nicely put, Dana. Watch out, it’s ‘is it really so?’ and ‘being’. I also had a lot of different jobs and enjoyed all of them!
By the words of Jan Neruda: Whoever I was, I was glad…Many years ago I worked as a recorder by the district court. At the same time I studied for a degree in Law and after graduation I worked as a lawyer. But after 1989 we wanted with my husband and my mother to run an own company. Twenty years we ran a bakery. After that I worked for insurance group and I had a chance to try varied positions. Now I am retired, but as I wrote, on Fridays I run a small pub and part time I care for old people as a caretaker and also as a volunteer. Any of them was my dream job.
I am currently working as an Chief Acountant in Town Theatre in Český Krumlov. It is very interesting job, but very difficult. I like my job, but I’m glad I’m retiring this summer.
I wanted to be a teacher my whole life, my dream was to teach young children to read and write, but fate wanted it differently😊…maybe in the next life🤷♀️
It was very interesting reportage. I work as a credit analyst and I have to say, it is not my dream job. I would like to be a social worker. I would like to help children or seniors. Or I would like to produce something, but I am not skilful enough.
I work as an accountant, but I really like nature – so my dream job would be scientific research of animals, plants, human or cells.
Hi Renata, your dream job sounds really interesting. It would be so nice to know so much about nature.
I work as a teacher at high school. I teach maths and physics. It´s interesting to work with junge people, but I would do rather something else. My dream job could be a tour guide or to help people to live a healthy life style.
I’m unemployed these days. I used to work as a book digitizer and text corrector. now i do it for free. It’s quite fine, because i love reading from my childhood.
If i could to try something else, i would own some coffee house combined with bookshop or sweetshop.:)
I can also imagine being a stewardes, gardener or working somehow with infants.:)
Hi Marketa. It sounds like you’re really passionate about what you do, that’s so inspiring!
I work as a director of a monastery Zlatá Koruna. I really enjoy it. It is very interesting job but very difficult too. I am responsible for many things, for employees, for historic furniture, books, paintings. But I meet a lot of interesting people and I can apply my communication skills. I prefer to do a guide in my work. It’s a lot of fun. My current job is also my dream job.
My current job is also my dream job, even I have two dream jobs! I am a yoga and yoga therapy teacher and I really love what I do , so I’m very lucky. I can help people live a healthy life style and encourage them in a healthy way.
My second job is restorer. I cooperate with my husband and we repair old pictures, sculptures and wall paintings. It’s really interesting work too.
Hi Ivana, welcome in the course. Your jobs are really interesting!
