hurray 🙂
I understood like 60% of it but sometimes I got lost. But I still did not catch what does the audacious mean. (I might did it wrong ’cause I am writing the sentences after watching and not during it so I am sorry that I rember only these 2) – Motivation is something we can’t master. New habit need a lot of willpower and effort.
Btw: I really like the “technique” better to do something then noting, I think that I gonna try this with stdying math, last year math was easy for me and I got As most of the time, but this year I am getting Bs so I need to pracite at home but it is hard bcs I never had study mathematics at home.
I understood the basic idea and then I was be able answer the following questions right, but it was only the guess. I am going to repeat it several times. Now I am unable to write, what she exactly says. But I am going to listen a short time every day 😉
I’m sorry, there are mistakes in the first sentence.
Right is: Unfortunately, I can’t fulfill this task.
unfortunately I cannot fulfill this task.
I have the wrong vocabulary.
I understand a lot of words, but I can’t understand the basic idea 🙁
I will try to listen to the text several times and I hope to understand better next time.
Hi Lenka, that’s perfectly fine. The video was made for native English speakers and that can make it really difficult to understand sometimes.
Try watching the video one more time without worrying about what phrases you do and don’t understand, just watching and listening to see if you can pick up the basic idea this time. Then you can try watching it again and switch on the subtitles (in the bottom right corner of the video) so you can read what she’s saying while you listen. Maybe this will help a bit 🙂
Getting into a good little habit
Minimal effort always turns out to be way better then if I did nothing
Stop trying to be so good
Goal is repetition not high achievement
Be mediocre every day take one step, but take that step every day
Establish the neural pathway in our brain for a new habit
Once we hard wire a habit into our brains, we can do it without thinking and therefore without needing much willpower or effort
The goal is not to be better then other people but rather to be better then our previous selves
These are great expressions Ivana!
Changes are really hard, that’s truth. You need willpower, motivation, willingness, effort…but the good new for me is…I know “better than nothing behaviour” wow, awesome … I love it 🙂 thank you
Being good requires a good motivation. But even a good motivation wanes over time. Then you should have willingness to be active and consisntent in reaching your low goals at least.
