Vocabulary: Goals
Start by introducing yourself.
First, study the vocabulary.
- Play the MATCH game several times to activate what you know and to set up the right learning environment in your brain – 5 mins.
- Study the FLIP CARDS to start learning new things – 10 mins.
- Do the STUDY activity – 5 – 10 mins.
Now in the comment section below, share a couple of things about yourself with your classmates and your mentor.
- A couple of facts about yourself.
- What is your final goal for this course?
- How are you planning to reach your goals?
You should also support your classmates by commenting on their goals.
Remember that this is NOT a test! You are just starting the learning process. You are going to spend 20 minutes studying the vocabulary but you are NOT supposed to learn it or know it perfectly in such a short time.
It is OK not to get 100% on every exercise you do. You will keep on going back to study the same vocabulary and practise them repeatedly. In this way, you will be able to store the information better and build access paths to it so that you can retrieve it fast and use it automatically.
Glossary:
You aren’t supposed to = není od vás očekáváno
keep on going back = neustále se vracet
repeatedly = opakovaně
access path = přístupová cesta
retrieve = vyvolat, získat
