My earliest memory is cutting my hair and hair of my doll. I was at the age of 4 and I wanted to have the same haircut like my doll. After my action I had very short hair with teeth and my parents were shocked by me. My mother had to take me to the hairdresser to fix my appearance. I looked like a boy and I was ashamed of it.
My earliest memory is staying alone and crying in our first flat. My mother was angry at me (and I didn’t know why) and went to hang a laundry to the loft. I was about two or three years old. I also remember staying at hospital for two weeks when I was 4 years old. I listened a radio and played with my toys, which all I had to leave in hospital then. My illness was very infectious, its name is scarlet fever.
These types of memories by our peace of day life of small children.
It’s funny which memories stay in your brain until your life’s end.
It’s not a celebration with friends in the family centre or jumping arena. It’s playing with yoyo, sitting on the stairs.
So, I am slightly worried about which memories will remain with my children.
I hope the memories will be, or I will be there as a parent in a good light.
My most profound memory from childhood- I was crying in kindergarten. I think I was about two years old, the youngest there. it was my first time, and there was a dark room, foreign children there, and not a polite teacher. I remember how I tried to stop crying but without success. I didn’t want to be there. I missed my mum.
The second memory-the trip behind the village where we lived in my three years. My parents didn’t know where I was, but I really could not understand how or (now I really could understand) how angry they could be and how scared they were but I was very happy it was a lovely trip, and I didn’t understand their reaction after my return.
I think it could be done better. When you treat the dog, you must also praise it when it comes back. 🙂
That’s a beautiful way to put it Lenka.
It’s always funny what memories stay with us, and we all hope that in the memories of others we are our best selves.
Cassie remembers her dad lifting her on a stool so she could play with her jojo, even though he could had just shorten the string. Emma remember sitting on the front door steps singing with her mom. Mike remember discovering small tunnel with his friend, where they saw a burst of flames. First they thought it was a dragon, but when they went back and had a closer look, they found out it was a welder doing his job.
My strong childhood memory is when I was 4 years old. I went with my parents a older sister to the Baltic sea by train. I remember adventurous trip on the sleeper train, sunbathing, swimming in the sea, eating ice-cream. This holiday was so exciting for me, so my merories are still very intense 🙂
I remember our first flat inside old house in a small city Blovice near Plzeň. The flat was big but weird and the house was scary for me and my older brother. We were afraid to go to the cellar for potatoes or apples.
We were afraid that on the steps around the corner there stood a large, strong figure who looked like an executioner – he had a red hood with holes for eyes and a big sword in his hand.
It was luckily a child’s fanciful idea. But we were happy when we moved to a new flat 🙂
That sounds pretty scary! What a vivid imagination.
I remember a visiting at my grandparents farmhouse near a forest. They had a lot of farm animals. I could play with their dog and there were several cats all around. I could go to the forest with my grandma to picked blackberries and mushrooms. Grandma cooked delicious meals. She was the most beloved grandma ever!
Cassie remebers her dad lifting her on a stool and she was able to play with her jojo. Ema remember singing a song with her mum in front of the door. Mike remember discovering a creepy “something” in a tunnel. He remember realizing the real thing.
Cassie remember her dad lifting her on a stool so she could played with her jojo. Emma remember she sitting on the front door steps and singing with her mother. Mike remember discovering something scary in the tunnel with his friend. But they were founding out it wasn’t a dragon but a man who did his job.
That’s great Eva. P.S. Cassie remembers. 😉
