Hello,
my name is Vera. I am not a spring chicken. My husband works late into the night so I have a time to study English in the evenings. We are no party animals, we are swamped with work but in our free time we like traveling, walking, reading and going to the theatre. We have two children and five grandchildren, we spend a lot of time with them. English lessons are not a piece of cake for me. I am not chatterbox, but I would like to improve my English conversation.
Great job, Věra. I will do my best to help you improve your English. Watch out for the following: I have time NOT I have a time.
Hello everybody,
My name is Irena and I’m definitely not a spring chicken because I’m a proudly grandma of two cute boys. English is not a piece of cake for me but I hope in the future and Jazyko lessons those could help me to improve my knowledge.
Well done, Irena!
Hello,
my name is Alena. I´m mum of two children, already no spring chicken. I´m swamped with work, but I try to study foreign languages, becasuse I like it, but it´s not going very well, honestly….sometimes like pulling teeth. I´m not chatterbox, so for me it´s very difficult to improve especially speaking skills. So, I would like to pick Soňa´s brain, how to get better:-)
Hello Alena, nice to meet you. Feel free to pick my brain. I will bend over backwards to help you. Ypu can even sigh up for a group conversation next week and you will see that speaking is a piece of cake, too.
Hello Alena,
nice to meet you. Although you are not a chatterbox, I believe that you will manage to speak fluently English.
Have a nice day,
Eva
Hello, my name is Dana.
I’m neither spring chicken nor even winter one. Therefore my bucket list is very short. I just want to learn English.
I’m lucky. My husband bends over backwards to help me. He often watches football, hockey or tennis on TV because of me and doesn’t disturb me. 🙂
Hello Dana,
nice to meet you! You are really lucky that your husband is so kind:-):-):-) Certainly, English will be for you like peace of cake soon, good luck! You seems like happy camper, hope it´s true….?
Have a nice day, Alena
Hello Dana, nice to see you in my course. I like your spring/winter chicken joke.
Hello Dana,
nice to meet you. How long have you been studying English? And what do you do in your leisure time besides learning English?
Hello, I am Michaela. I´ve got three children, two of them are teenagers so the communication between us is sometimes like pulling teeth! I suppose I am also happy camper so it is no so hard for me to keep my hair on and bend over backwards to help them in cause of need. But once in the blue moon I have to say ” Take a chill pill ” to my children.
Hello Michaela, nice to meet you. Oh, how many idioms you used!
Three children!? This is a huge opportunity to English conversation. As far as English is concerned, you can pick their brains.
Hello Dana, pleased to meet you too. I agree with you..to much opportunity to speak in English…unfortunately our english conversation is very often like pulling teeth and they are willing to speak to my only once in a blue moon. What a pity! What about you? Are you swamped?
Hello Míša, nice use of the idioms. I can see that all teenagers are the same 😀 😀
Watch out for the following:
it is NOT so hard, in CASE of need
Hello, I am Renata and I´m no spring chicken:). I have a son and he is such a party animal!
Hello Renata, nice to meet you. I am Michaela and I am no a party animal. I go to the party once in a blue moon. Is english your hobby so that is mean piece of cake or are you totaly swamped with work nowadays? 🙂 Thank you.
Hello Michaela,
nice to meet you, too. I love English, but it is not a piece of cake for me. I am swamped with work but I try to find time for my hobbies – reading, listening to music, playing board games and going to the theater. What about you? What´s your hobby? Are you a chatterbox?
Have a nice day
Renata
Hello Renata, thank you for your answer. I would say that I am not a chatterbox, even if I like comunication with people…especialy in english. Unfortunately there are no so much opportunities to speak in english, maybe only once in the blue moon. Get to the point english is my hobby….I would like to pass the FCE exam this year or next year at least ( this is on my bucket list)….so I know that I don´t have to cut corners in the preparation. Thank you and have a nice day too. Michaela
Hello Renata, pleased to meet you. Your son maybe is a party animal, but inside in the heart is a happy camper, calm person, isn’t he?
Hello Dana,
nice to meet you. My son is definetely a happy camper:) and a chatterbox.
Have a nice day
Renata
Hi Renata, welcome in the course. Great use of the idioms! Well done.
